We bake artisan sourdough breads and homemade baked goodies using organic and local ingredients. We buy organic flour from Lindley Mills in Graham, NC. We use local free range eggs (some raised here at our home), local fruits and herbs, all with a focus on organic, non-gmo, and clean ingredients.

I’ve always loved the smell and taste of fresh, homemade bread. A few years ago, I decided to try my hand at sourdough. It took me two tries to get my starter going (and plenty of practice loaves—just ask my husband, David!), but once I got it right, I was hooked.
When David and I moved from Maryland to southwest Virginia in 2023, we wanted a slower pace and a business we could run together—something that let me share my love of baking with others. By the summer of 2024, we left our former careers in teaching and pharmaceuticals behind and launched our little bakery and started selling at the Floyd and Radford Farmers Markets.
What I love most isn’t just baking the bread—it’s seeing familiar faces come back each week, swapping stories, and hearing which loaf has become your family’s favorite. Whether you’re a lifelong sourdough lover or just discovering it, I’m so glad you’re here.
